Our Story

One willow, deep roots

One Willow Herbs + Acupuncture promotes overall wellbeing through traditional Chinese herbal medicine, acupuncture, and integrative therapies — rooted in safety, ethics, and deep care and responsibility.

We believe every patient, at any age and stage of life, deserves individualized care from a healer, health coach, and partner. Our collaborative, patient-centered practice nurtures mental, emotional, and physical health — guiding each person toward natural healing and balance, personal growth, and lasting vitality.

The Founder

Nancy Young

A doctoral candidate in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, Nancy comes to healing after a life lived across cultures — born in Taipei, raised in Pasadena, and shaped by more than a decade of work in Australia and over thirty countries travelled.

She values deep listening, lifelong learning, and the belief that every person's wellness and history matters. Integrity, compassion, curiosity, and service have underpinned her work in philanthropy, the arts, and public service — and they are equally central to the practitioner she is becoming.

She is also the award-winning author of Strum — proof that healing and storytelling spring from the same well.

A sanctuary, taking root

One Willow is being planted now. The apothecary opens first with herbal and beauty goods you can enjoy today; the clinic follows as Nancy completes her doctoral studies and licensure. Two homes are planned.
